Vintage Italian Murano Glass Rooster - Black & White Swirl Ribbon Pattern

A beautiful large vintage hand-blown Italian Murano glass rooster figurine. Features a stunning "ribbon" or swirl pattern with white and dark purple/black lines encased in clear glass. Also referred to as Latticino style. Applied bright red glass comb and wattle with a graceful, arched tail.

While it is difficult to pinpoint the exact factory it came from, this specific design (clear body with black and white ribbon swirls, applied red details) was prolifically made by V. Nason & C. or Formia in Murano, Italy, typically during the 1960s–1980s.

Excellent pre-owned condition with NO chips, cracks, or repairs. Smooth polished pontil mark on the bottom with remnants of the original oval gold foil "Vetri Murano" or generic "Made in Italy" export labels used during the mid-20th century.
